# Pricing, Billing, and Credits

> Understand BYOK, managed credits, rate cards, billing modes, and spend checks before scaling Deepline workflows from pilot rows to production.

> **Pay as you go**
>
> Start with a \$0 platform fee plus usage. Validate a workflow before you
> make it recurring.

> **Growth**

> Run recurring team workflows with a monthly subscription, included usage
> credits, and more production capacity.

Deepline has three plans: **Pay as you go**, **Growth**, and **Enterprise**.
Choose a plan for the operating model, then choose how Deepline should pay for
provider calls: your own provider account or managed Deepline credits.

> [!TIP]
>
> Need a price for a specific action? Open the [full rate
> card](https://deepline.com/docs/_generated/pricing-schedule.md) first. A tool's live contract is the
> source of truth for its current Deepline-credit price.

| Plan | What it is for |
| - | - |
| Pay as you go | Validate a use case with no platform fee and usage-based billing. |
| Growth | Run recurring team workflows with included usage credits and more capacity. |
| Enterprise | Govern business-critical deployments with contracted terms and support. |

See [deepline.com/pricing](https://deepline.com/pricing) for current plan
details and commercial terms.

## Billing modes

| Mode | What you pay | Use when |
| - | - | - |
| Bring Your Own Keys | Your provider bills you directly. | You already have provider accounts or negotiated rates. |
| Managed credits | Deepline credits pay for supported provider calls. | You want one balance and no separate provider setup. |

Managed credits are usage-based. Growth includes recurring usage credits. Your Enterprise contract defines its terms.

## What trips people up

* BYOK and managed credits are different billing paths. BYOK keeps provider
billing in your provider account. Managed credits use your Deepline balance.
* A waterfall miss is not always free in managed mode. Some upstream providers
charge for attempted lookups, so managed misses can consume credits when
  providers were actually called.
* Prices can vary by tool, provider, operation, and runtime options. Check the
live tool card before a large run.
* Promo credits add balance. They do not change tool pricing or provider cost
  semantics.
* Provider spend is not exposed to customers. Deepline shows customer-facing
  Deepline credits and Deepline-priced usage.

### HarvestAPI empty responses

**An empty HarvestAPI response can still consume managed Deepline credits.**
Deepline prices these paginated tools per requested page, not per returned record.
Deepline charges a successful response with `elements: []` when HarvestAPI reports billable usage. If that empty list reports no billable usage or omits usage,
Deepline charges zero credits.

Recognized missing-profile and missing-ad outcomes marked `no_result` are
unbilled. An empty list can have status `completed`. This status does not guarantee returned records or a zero charge. A null record or an error inside
the response body alone is not a guarantee of a free call.

Check the returned Deepline billing details for the actual charge. See the
[HarvestAPI rate card](https://deepline.com/docs/_generated/pricing/harvestapi.md) for page and request
prices.

## Inspect an action price

The live tool contract and [generated rate cards](https://deepline.com/docs/_generated/pricing-schedule.md)
describe action pricing. For pilot and workspace-cap procedures, see
[Cost control](https://deepline.com/docs/cost-control.md).
